Family-Owned Business
Our family moved to our farm in 2011 to raise our 3 girls in the country and raise a few animals, This lead us on a journey of raising our own chickens for eggs and meat, Spanish goats for meat, and lamancha goats for dairy. Our girls enjoyed watching live births on the farm, milking goats, and gathering eggs. They participated in 4H showing Boer breeding does and wethered meat goats, the lamanchas for dairy, cooking for the food competitions, and in photography. We have now settled into a season of raising Spanish Syfan breeding stock to allow other farms to start their journey on a more sustainable meat goat operation.
After much research and a trip to the Spanish Goat gathering in Tennessee it was decided that we would dedicate our time in raising Spanish Syfan's versus the traditional Boer goats that we mostly see in our region. This was due to several factors to include:

We use little to no feed and hay, only when necessary in a time of drought or hard winter conditions with no vaccinations or anitibiotics for livestock management on Palet Farms. Letting the goats be goats and use the land to their benefit is the essence of our commitment to raising healthy and happy animals.
